11 course lute This Baroque lute has a string length of 700 mm and is tuned in D minor (A=415). It is after the Warwick Frei (same body shape as the 6 course shown earlier on this site). The original was modified to be an 11 course lute in the 17th century, and the decoration on the front and back of the neck may have been added much later. I have added a similar decoration to the front and back of the neck.
